Good day to you Dear Reader,

This is the first day of Careme (or Lent) as they say in England.  It is the beginning of forty days of austerity for those who follow it.  And it is the coldest time of the year as well in Canada. To celebrate the start of it today we are not going to eat meat.  You are really supposed to do that for all forty days but I doubt in my home this will be possible.

Yes, even in the coldest time of the year I snap the pictures. the one above was taken when I got lost in a snow storm not far from my house. Thank God my Sony Cybershot did not quit.
